School House Rock Live Jr. Was absolutely amazing! I had a great time being in it, I actually danced too! :) My solo was Unpack Your Adjectives and was a really annoying song, but a nice challenge. The notes in the second verse are really weird because the music was changed to fit a younger range. My range isn't the same as the range it was made to fit. I enjoyed the challenge and eventually figured out what to do with the song so I could sing it. The dances were amazing! Each song fit into a certain time period almost and the ones that didn't had obvious settings. Our marvelous directors, Mrs. Lee Glover and Mr. Josh Sass, took each song with a time period and created a dance from that time period along with costumes. It was great! I enjoyed The Circulation and Conjunction Junction the most. The Circulation was a fifties dance so Trent Rowedder, the soloist, was dressed like Elvis and all the girls had baggy oxford shirts and rolled jeans. The finishing touch was an ascot. The dance involved a lot of bunny hopping, hand jiving, and twisting. There was even a fight over "Elvis'" scarf. Conjunction Junction had lots of pick feather boas and Hayden Ingram, the soloist, had a cane and a hat. That was an amazingly fun song to dance to because of the feather boas. :) There is a lot more I could cover, but I don't want to bore anyone.
